Supreme Court dismisses PIL seeking to lower marriageable age for men, slaps fine of Rs 25,000 on petitioner

The PIL was filed by lawyer Asok Pandey before the apex court, which did not find any merit in the petition.

The Supreme Court on Monday rejected a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking to lower marriageable age for men to 18 years, news agency ANI reported.

The PIL was filed by lawyer Asok Pandey before the apex court, which did not find any merit in the petition. 

The top court also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on the lawyer.
