Police suspects of poisoning in the death of IAF officer (Represetational image)
A 27-year-old flight lieutenant, Himanshu Gupta of the Indian Air Force (IAF) died at a government hospital in Bhopal on Tuesday.
According to police, the cause of the death is under investigation as some poisonous content was found in his body.
However, the exact cause of Gupta's death could be determined only after a comprehensive report of autopsy is available, Ayodhya Nagar police station in-charge Baljeet Singh said.
"As per preliminary findings of the post-mortem report, some poisonous content was found in Gupta's body," he said.
"We are awaiting the post-mortem report," he said, adding that further investigation is underway.
