Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday interacted with BJP workers from Agra, Damoh, Karauli-Dholpur, Mysuru and Raipur Lok Sabha seats via video conferencing. Speaking to party workers, PM Modi slammed the Congress for its anti-people policies and said that party had only handed over 'lollypops' to people of India.
"BJP is a cadre-based party. Feedback from our grassroot-level workers is important for us. This is the reason we have been able to form policies for poor and downtrodden," PM Modi said.
With assembly elections in five states ahead, PM Modi claimed that it was not a matter of ego for his party to defeat others but an opportunity to serve people.
"When you try and connect everything to elections, like unveiling the statue of Sir Chhotu Ram or Swachh Bharat Mission, it reduces the importance of the event," he said, adding that the BJP is doing social service and will continue doing it.
