The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) today reacted sharply to the statement of Pakistan's Foreign Affairs Ministry in which it had termed certain Indian groups as terrorist organisations.

MEA spokesperson Vikas Swarup termed the statement of Pakistan's Foreign Affairs Ministry as ‘absurd’.

"The Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement of yesterday is absurd even by their standards. Labelling Indian bonafide political parties, social, cultural organisation as terrorist organisation seems a desperate attempt to deflect international focus from Pakistan's own complicity in sponsoring internationally prescribed organisation like Lashkar-e-taiba, Jamaat-ud-Dawa and Jaish-e-Mohammad which continue to target Pakistan's neighbours from territory under Pakistan's control," he said.

Earlier on December 29, a spokesperson of Pakistan's Ministry of External Affairs had  called the Indian organisations like RSS, Vishwa Hindu Prasad, Shiv Sena, Bajrang Dal as terrorist elements.

"Occupying forces, joined by the terrorist organizations such as RSS, Vishwa Hindu Prasad, Shiv Sena, Bajrang Dal and other terrorist elements are engaged in the drive to change the demography in Kashmir which is a blatant violation of UN Security Council's Resolutions on Kashmir and fundamental human human rights. We condemn unabated violation of UNSC Resolutions on Kashmir by India," he said.
