7-year-old girl raped by 70-year-old man in Odisha
In a horrific incident, a 7-year-old girl was raped by a 70-year-old man in Odisha. The incident was reported from New Camp Street II in Gajapati district of the state, police said on Monday, adding the accused was the neighbour of the minor girl.
Identified as Barik Pradhan, the accused had been sexually assaulting the minor for two to three days. He used to lure the girl with chocolates, police said.
The incident came to light following a complaint by the girl's father Sunday night.
The girl narrated her ordeal to her family only on Sunday.
