A low intensity earthquake measuring 2.8 on the Richter scale hit the national capital in the wee hours today.
According to the National Centre for Seismology, the tremors hit at around 3:47 am at a depth of 17 km.
However, there are no immediate reports of any damage to property.
This is second bout of tremors to be felt in the national capital. On Sunday, earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale was felt in parts of Delhi-NCR, Haryana and adjoining regions. The epicenter of the earthquake lied in Haryana's Sonipat and hit the aforementioned regions at 3:37 pm on Sunday.
