Two Indian Air Force personnel were martyred and two terrorists killed after an encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Hajin area of Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora district, an army officer said.
"Two terrorists have been killed in an ongoing gunfight in Hajin area of Bandipora district," Defence Ministry Spokesman Colonel Rajesh Kalia said.
Police sources said security forces surrounded Paribal village in Hajin area in the early hours of Wednesday following specific inputs about the presence of militants there.
"As the security forces came close to the house where the militants were hiding, they were fired at by hiding militants triggering an encounter in which two militants were killed," sources said.
