Don’t send your children to US, says father of Indian engineer injured in Kansas

Madasani Jaganmohan Reddy, the father of an Indian engineer who got injured in Kansas shooting, has urged Indian parents not to send their children to United States because he believes that the US is no longer a safe place after Donald Trump took over as its President.

“The situation seems to be pretty bad after Trump took over as the US President. I appeal to all the parents in India not to send their children to the US in the present circumstances,” Reddy was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

MJ Reddy’s son Madasani Alok Reddy got injured after being shot by a former US Navy veteran in what could be a possible hate-attack. Alok’s friend Srinivas Kuchibhotla was killed in this shooting.

Adam Purinton, 51, the alleged shooter, was heard telling them to “get out of my country” at the time of the shooting.

Purinton mistook  Srinivas Kuchibhotla  and Madasani Alok  as  Middle Easterners and opened fire at them.

Adam  Purinton was charged with both murder (of Srinivas Kuchibhotla) and attempted murder (of Madasani Alok)  on Thursday.
