Arvind Kejriwal's brother-in-law Surender Kumar Bansal is being investigated by Delhi Police in an alleged case of corruption.
A preliminary enquiry has been ordered by the Economic Offences Wing of Delhi Police against Bansal on a complaint filed by an NGO called ‘Road Anti-Corruption Organization’ .
The complaint alleged that Bansal, who had the tender to construct a drain, used dummy companies to complete the work.
It further accused Bansal of submitting fake bills and invoices to the Public Works Department (PWD) for making huge profits.
The complaint also alleged that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal helped his relative in this matter.
The NGO went to a court with its allegations on Saturday.
The Economic Offences Wing of Delhi Police has now informed the NGO that its complaint is being investigated and asked the complainant to come up with all the documents for further action.
