Armed Forces flag Day is commemorated every year on 7th December to mark solidarity of the nation with our soldiers and to thank them for the supreme sacrifices they have made in guarding us. This year, a special week long campaign has been planned to celebrate the Armed Forces between December 1 to December 7 with an aim to generate voluntary funds to alleviate distress among families of ex-servicemen (ESM).
Voluntary donations are being collected as a token of respect to armed forces contribution to the nation. Various arrangements of online payment towards this fund have been made. Any individual who would like to contribute can make payment via any of the following -

The Defence Ministry is also launching a mega campaign on social media from December 1 to 7 to encourage people to wear the Armed Forces' flag to show their support and solidarity with the military.
The campaign aims to increase contributions to the 'Armed Forces Flag Day Fund' which will be used to support disabled ex-servicemen, war widows, children of martyrs and other such beneficiaries. Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had listed ensuring welfare of ex-servicemen as one of her priority areas. The campaign is in keeping with her resolve to ensure welfare of the ex-servicemen.
