The investigation into the murder of Apple executive Vivek Tiwari in Lucknow has revealed another 'lie' told by the Uttar Pradesh police constables, who have been apprehended as the main accused in the matter.

Constable Prashant Chaudhary, who had allegedly shot Tiwari from a close range last Friday for not stopping his car, had claimed that the victim had try to flee the spot after hitting the motorcycle he and his colleague were riding. Chaudhary had claimed self-defence in his statement.

However, the inspection of the car and motorcycle by the UP Police's Motor Vehicle department has revealed that the even as bike's handle was damaged, there was no consistent damage on the corresponding side of the car.

The MT department said that the damage caused to the police motorcycle could only be result of a serious collision, whereas the damage caused to the car was only the result of the shooting and four-wheeler's collision with the pillar of the underpass, which it hit after the driver, Vivek Tiwari, was shot.

Earlier on Wednesday, the lone eyewitness in the incident Sana Khan, who was sitting beside the victim in his car, said that Vivek Tiwari did not get into any spat or accident with the constables before Chaudhary shot him.

Narrating the incident minute-by-minute, Sana said that the duo had tried to stop the vehicle, but since there was no check post or traffic violation Tiwari decided to skirt pass them. He never increased the vehicles speed or hit anyone, she said. Soon the two took over them. One constable (Chaudhary) stood in front of the moving vehicle, while other was at her side. He shot Tiwari point blank from the front, Sana told India TV on Wednesday.

In the exclusive interview to India TV, she also insisted that the vehicle was no where nearly as damaged after the incident as it is currently, parked at the police station.
