Rajasthan man returns home

A man who had spent his last six years in the Karachi prison, finally returned to his home in Jakhmund Ramapuria village of Bundi, Rajasthan, on Sunday.

Jungraj Bheel had mistakingly crossed the international border along Pakistan six years back, after getting lost in a jungle.

He was arrested after he crossed the international border.

He had gone to offer prayers at Randevra temple where he lost his path and inadvertently crossed the Pakistan border.

There was no information about his whereabouts since early June last year. The locals from his village have been out on a campaign demanding the central government to ensure his release.

A social activist Dharmesh Yadav who received Jungraj at Wagha-Attari border in Amritsar, along with his brother Babulal Bheel, said that he was not uttering a single word when he came back to the country.

Yadav said, "We are witnessing considerable improvement in Jugraj's condition in the last two days. He was not even uttering a word two days ago. He could only identify his brother when we went to the Wagah border to receive him."

"We have been demanding the return of Jugraj Bheel. It is the blessings of God that Jugraj has been returned safely," he added.
