World Kickboxing Championship Gold medallist, an eight-year-old Kashmiri girl, has posted a video on social media slamming the state government for not providing adequate facilities to the sports academy in which she practices.

Tajamul, who created history at the World Kickboxing Championship in Italy last year by becoming the first Indian player from the sub-junior category to clinch a gold medal, posted a video on social media in which she showed the degrading condition of the academy and also urged the state government to set up an indoor academy for the athletes.

In the video, she shows the deteriorating condition of the Ali Sports Academy and explains how difficult it becomes for them to practice as rain water pours in through roofs and space constraints limit their practicing session.

Tajamul, who hails from Bandipora district in Jammu and Kashmir, explains how the conditions have become an obstacle to the growth of aspiring sportsperson.

The eight-year-old athlete says that the state government should be ashamed that it has not been able to provide them with adequate facilities. She then urges the Jammu and Kashmir government to provide one indoor stadium and necessary equipment for Ali Sports Academy where she practices.
