La Tomatina: This world famous festivity is also the weirdest of all held every year at Bruñol, Valencia, where a whooping number of around 30,000 enthusiasts throw fresh and squeezed tomatoes on one another. Its history is traced back to 1945 during Anti-Franco protests, where soldiers due to lack of weapons and ammunitions, used Tomatoes in their protests.
3. The Thaipusam Festival: The festival is a huge hit amongst locals Tamilians. This festival is the most gruesome of all, where devotees pierce various parts of their bodies with skewers. This yearly festival is celebrated as an honor and devotion to their Lord Murugan.
4. Near-Death Experience Festival: Next slot is taken back again by Spain, to be precise Fiesta de Santa Marta de Ribarteme. In this unique festivity people who have had a Near-Death openly talk about their experience as an honor to the patron saint of resurrection, Santa Marta de Ribarteme. During the customs the coffins with lucky survivors are carried till the cemetery and around the church.
