New Delhi: Women have always remained a complex subject to the other half of this world.
Regardless of their appearance, dressing, colour, caste & nationality, people forget they too are born humans with heart, flesh and above all emotions.
Ever since a child is born, he/she sees their mother cooking, cleaning, feeding after them and tends to see the same cycle repeated for the rest of their lives.
Even portrayal of women on TV be it in advertisements or daily soaps is shown to be of secondary importance. They have always been made away of an intangible divide, which points them as second class citizens.
Being a mother, wife, daughter or companion they have never been considered to be worth keeping in somebody's priority list but the other half always want themselves to be on top of theirs.
Why such a divide, why is that a woman has to start her statement with 'sorry' or 'excuse me' or seem 'apologetic' before demanding anything to which they too have equal right.
'I'm sorry but could you please help me at this....', 'Excuse me, may I take your pen', 'Kindly help me with directions please', don't these sound like every day's routine dialogue coming out from women.
Who are they apologetic to? Why do they need to apologize at the drop of the hat? These answers seem to have no vocal answers but an inspiring new campaign by Pantene is here to tell all these women for believing in 'No to saying SORRY'.
