Moringa, also known as Moringa oleifera or drumstick, is gaining immense popularity as a superfood. It is known to have several health benefits and is native to India. For thousands of years, it has been used in herbal remedies. However, in recent times, people have started to include moringa in their daily diet for the benefits it offers. Different parts of the tree are used including the bark, pods and leaves. 

Reports suggest that it has nearly 90 bioactive plant compounds that help to fight oxidative stress, inflammation and cancer among others. Here, take a look at some of the health benefits of moringa powder. 

Rich in Nutrients

Moringa powder has essential vitamins and minerals, including vitamin A and C calcium, potassium, iron and protein. These nutrients are beneficial for overall health which helps to boost immune function, bone health and energy levels.

  3. Mix with Juices or Lemon Water: You can add moringa powder to fresh fruit juices, vegetable juices or even plain water with a splash of lemon. 
  4. Sprinkle on Salads : Sprinkle a small amount of moringa powder over your salads or grain bowls (such as quinoa or rice). You can also mix it into salad dressings or vinaigrettes for a nutritional boost.
  5. Baking and Energy Bars: You can add moringa powder to baked goods like muffins, pancakes or energy bars. Add it to the dry ingredients (flour, oats, etc.) to improve the nutritional value of your baked treats.
