Indian festivals are incomplete without mouth-watering delicacies. Whether it is Holi, Eid or harvest festivals such as Pongal and Lohri, we Indians kick-start celebrations by gorging on some of the traditional dishes. South India is currently engulfed in the festivities of Pongal. This year, the four-day festival began on January 15 and will continue till January 18. During Pongal, devotees wake up early, put on new clothes, visit temple and pray to sun god. As people across the country are busy celebrating harvest festival- whether it is Makar Sankranti, Lohri or Pongal, we bring to you some lip-smacking treats which will satiate your taste buds.

Kara Murukku

Medu Vada
