Ridhi Dogra and Raqesh Bapat head towards spiltsville after 7 Years Of marriage
Television actors Ridhi Dogra and Raqesh Bapat (aka Raqesh Vashisth) are known for giving couple goals to their fans after they featured in the show Maryaada together. The duo has been married for almost eight years and now are heading for separation this May. Going by the reports in Hindustan Times, Raqesh has himself opened up about his separation and revealed that the two have been living separately after mutual respect and care for each other.
Raqesh Bapat told HT, "Yes, we are living separately. This decision has been taken with mutual respect and care for each other and our families." This is their joint statement, even Ridhi added that they are "two best friends who may not be a couple anymore." Ridhi Dogra and Raqesh Bapat met when they co-starred in TV show Maryada - Lekin Kab Tak in 2010. In the same year they co-starred in another TV show Seven. The couple added, "...Our friendship will continue as it always has, through thick and thin. Appreciate if no further speculation is made and heartfelt gratitude to everyone for all the love you have always given us.”
Other than working together in TV shows, the couple also participated in dance reality show Nach Baliye 6. Speaking to Hindustan Times, Ridhi's brother Akshay Dogra said that both of them are holding up well after separation and added: "Life shouldn't be treated dramatically, it's a choice to live happily and coexist with love and compassion."
Ridhi Dogra’s best friend Asha Negi was earlier asked about their separation when the rumours started to surface the internet and she said, “Ridhi is my best friend. I am sorry and cannot comment on this. Look, I am Ridhi's friend and I would know anything and everything, but I don't want to comment on this matter.”
Ridhi Dogra has also featured in shows like Laagi Tujhse Lagan, Savitri, Yeh Hai Aashiqui and Woh Apna Sa. On the other hand, Raqesh Bapat had starred in films like Tum Bin and Dil Vil Pyar Vyar before entering the world on Television. He was seen in Saat Phere, Honge Judaa Naa Hum, Qubool Hai and Tu Aashiqui.
