Noted writer turned director of Tollywood, Rajasimha Tadinada recently attempted to kill self by consuming sleeping pills. However, he was rushed to Mumbai hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
A source revealed to TOI about his condition and said he is stable now. It has been learnt that Tadinada went into depression after his career started going downhill. He stopped getting offers and this made him take this drastic step. So far, no statement has been released by his family.
Tadinada is best known as a dialogue writer of period movie Rudhramadevi, starring Anushka Shetty, Allu Arjun and Rana Daggubati. He began his career in the industry as ventriloquist consultant in 1997 Telugu movie Chinnabbayi. He later became script assistant with Nuvvu Leka Nenu Lenu, which released in 2002. Tadinada also forayed into Sandalwood and Kollywood. He later directed Oka Ammayi Thappa featuring Nithya Menen and Sundeep Kishan as a lead pair.
On a related note, Rudhramadevi which released in 2015 was directed by Gunasekhar and dubbed in Hindi and Malayalam as well. It was the fifth highest opening day grossing Indian film of 2015.
