After making waves in India and other neighboring countries, 'Baahubali: The Conclusion" is all set to take over another neighbor China with its theatrical release in the coming months.This is no news that the Indian blockbuster shook a number of box offices when it released in April last year.
To add to the list of growing number of Indian movies that are doing great business in China, Baahubali 2 is ready to crack the world’s second-largest film market.
Directed by S.S. Rajamouli, the film is to be released by EStars Media, who earlier gave a big release to 'Baahubali: The Beginning' in China, The fantasy action film has clear the censorship process but is not awarded with a release date yet.
Baahubali has done no small business when it released in China last year. The sequel earned a whopping $131 million gross and “Baahubali: The Beginning” earned a modest $1.12 million of its worldwide $123 million total in China. Starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia, the film is expected to make much more with the current boom in interest in Indian movies.
Indian movies proved to have taken the main stage in China lately with films like Aamir Khan's Secret Superstar and Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan minting millions. Where Secret Superstar earned $118 million, Salman Khan's three-year-old film stands on a current total of $36.6 million. Films like 'Hindi Medium' and 'Manto'are big buzz in the country as well.
