It’s going to be one big fest that SS Rajamouli, Jr. NTR and Ram Charan are reunited on the silverscreen. And now that Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn have also joined the cast, the magnitude has gone several notches up. On Friday, the three of them sans Alia and Ajay flew to Vadodara in Gujarat to kickstart a major schedule of their upcoming film RRR. Jr. NTR shared a picture of their boarding passes on the social media and wrote, “Off to a flying start! Big schedule ahead. " With this, the RRR team kickstarted the shooting of their ambitious project.

According to the reports, while Alia Bhatt has an important role to play in RRR, Ajay Devgn will appear for an extended cameo in the film. The actor will be seen in the flashback scenes.

Alia Bhatt, who is currently busy promoting her film Kalank and shooting for Brahmastra simultaneously, will start shooting for RRR next week during their Delhi schedule. The actress will be paired opposite Ram Charan in the film. The team will shoot at real locations in this schedule which also includes confrontation and action sequences," a source informed Mumbai Mirror.

Talking about Alia Bhatt’s character, she is playing the role of Sita and will appear in the film during a critical turning point. Also, her track will change the course of the film. The film RRR is about the period of Alia and Ram Charan’s disappearance.

“The film chronicles the period of the duo’s disappearance. As there are only speculations around what they did during that time, Rajamouli has used it to present his own, fictitious version how they met, influenced each other’s decisions as well as their future, and more importantly, the clash of egos that ensued,” a report reads.

RRR will release in theatres on July 30, 2020. The shooting will be wrapped up by the end of this year.

Apart from RRR, Alia Bhatt will also be seen opposite Salman Khan in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah.
