Former Rashtriya Janata Dal MP and Purnea strongman Pappu Yadav, presently behind bars, wants to watch Salman Khan's latest film Dabangg for one reason: Pappu Yadav helped Sonu Sood enact the role of a Bihari politician in the film, says a media report.
Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, is currently serving a term in jail, after Supreme Court this week ordered CBI to take him into custody from a Gurgaon hospital and pack him off to a jail.
Pappu Yadav wants to watch Dabangg before its release. The actor Sonu Sood had met Pappu Yadav before starting work on the film to get all his acting nuances right.
A couple of days ago, Yadav's wife, Ranjita Ranjan, sent a request to Sonu Sood to arrange for a special screening in jail, says the report.
Commenting on the role and Yadav's influence on his acting abilities, Sonu says, “Yes,I have imitated Yadav's look and body language in Dabangg. Now that he wants to watch the film in jail, I hope some arrangements are made. I am going to talk to Arbaaz Khan (producer of Dabangg) about this. If yet nothing comes of it, then we shall have a special screening for his wife and friends. However, I don't know what the authorities will decide”.
Sonu Sood got to know Pappu Yadav through Yadav's brother-in-law.
The actor happened to visit Bihar in July this year and it was on this trip that Pappu Yadav offered to host him and tour him around Purnia, Bhabhua, Siwan and Gopalganj to give him a taste of life in the badlands.
Sonu gladly accepted the offer. Reminiscing those days, Sonu adds, “I dont know too much about Bihar politics but meeting Yadav was certainly interesting. He was quite excited about Dabangg. He also offered to show me around the state and meet his political colleagues.”
It's payback time for Sonu.
