Mumbai, March 4 : Pakistani singer-actor Ali Zafar refused to do intimate sex scenes with Aditi Rao Hydari in the film London Paris New York, says a media report.
The report quoting sources said, the film's producers wanted sexual scenes between the lead pair, claiming that without it the movie wouldn't work.
Also, the cold reception accorded to the recently released Ekk Deewana Tha, which was also distributed by Fox Star Studios, had LPNY's makers wanting to heat up proceedings.
However, Zafar refused to do any sexual scenes.According to sources, he argued that his country and wife would not appreciate it.
A source said, “ The film's co- producer Shristi Behl tried her best to convince Ali to get intimate with Aditi.
But Ali refused to budge, although he had initially agreed to do at least one kissing and lovemaking scene.
He said he wouldn't be comfortable and argued that two of Bollywood's biggest superstars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan create enough stir without kissing or getting intimate with their co- stars.
After huge arguments between Zafar and the producers, the actor had his way and all intimate scenes were dropped.
When contacted, Zafar refused to comment whether he had performed any sexual scenes.
He said, “I do have a code of self- censorship which I like to adhere to. It's not only about offending my country or my wife, but also about what I'm comfortable doing.I am awkward about physical intimacy on screen.”
