Guwahati, Mar 5: US dancing superstar Rasta Thomas of the group Bad Boys of Dance today said the company was looking at incorporating at least one Indian dance form in their events in the future.

“The days of single type of dance form are over. Now you have to be versatile and fuse different elements representing different thoughts, societies and culture,” Thomas told reporters here.

He said the Bad Boys, in city now as part of their maiden India tour, have been impressed by the country's culture, including the Indian dance forms during their stay here so far.

“Maybe we will look at incorporating at least one Indian dance form in our performances in future. Besides, we also look to perform some Bollywood numbers when we visit India next,” Thomas said.

Real name in Rasta Kuzma Ramacandra, Thomas said his father gave him the Indian surname after being influenced by Indian culture.

The group, which describes itself as pop ballet with a classical fusion, is on a fortnight long trip to India. They have already performed in Jaipur and Delhi, before arriving in Guwahati yesterday.

After performing in the city the Bad Boys are scheduled to take the stage in Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai and Vishakhapatnam.

Asked what it takes to be a good dancer, he said, “Good genetics is a big help. Having a good physical structure and flexible body is a big advantage in the initial phase.”
