The official countdown of actress Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s wedding has begun. With only few days left for the big day, preparations are in full swing at the Kapoor mansion. This is known to all that Farah Khan has choreographed all the sangeet performances. Now, according to a Filmfare report, Sonam’s father Anil Kapoor will be grooving to the tunes of his hit song My Name is Lakhan. Not only this, he will also dance to Gallan Goodiyan along with his friends.
Earlier, speculations were rife that Karan Johar will perform on Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Janhvi Kapoor is all set to shake a leg at her mother Sridevi’s popular songs. The sangeet ceremony is going to take place on May 7 whereas the couple will take the wedding vows on May 8. After month of rumours, Kapoor and Ahuja family released a joint statement confirming the wedding date. The statement read, “The Kapoor and Ahuja families take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam and Anand. The wedding will take place on the May 8 in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family’s need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love as we celebrate this special moment in our lives.”
On the professional front, Sonam will next be seen in Veere Di Wedding alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania. The movie is all set to hit the screens on June 1.
