Bollywood’s Mastani actress Deepika Padukone met the evergreen dream girl Hema Malini at a book launch event in Mumbai and, there was complete buzz all around. Deepika, who will be seen next in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Padmavati, launched veteran actress and politician Hema Malini’s book titled Beyond the Dream Girl on Monday evening at JW Marriott hotel in Juhu. Donning a red sari, Deepika nailed her ethnic attire like a true diva. On the other hand, Hema Malini made a striking appearance in a blue sari and, like fine wine the 69-year-old actress stunned everyone at the event.
The highlight of the book launch was that it marked the special occasion of Hema Malini’s 68th birthday. Right from an audio-video presentation where 50 Bollywood celebrities extended their best wishes to the actress to star-studded evening, the book launch was a hit.
Besides Deepika Padukone, Hema Malini’s daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol also arrived at the event.
While Esha made a graceful appearance with husband Bharat Takhtani, Ahana rocked her white ethnic look. Her Husband Vaibhav Vohra accompanied at the event.
Several other members of the film industry such as Ramesh Sippy, Juhi Chawla and singer Alka Yagnik were also spotted at Hema Hema Malini’s book Beyond the Dream Girl launch.
At the end of the grand event, Deepika Padukone read out a letter written by filmmaker Yash Chopra’s wife Pamela Chopra for which she received heaps of applause from the audience.
Meanwhile, Hema Malini went candid and talked about her step sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, who were last seen in the film Poster Boys.
