Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra are giving the IPL Opening Ceremony a miss owing to their health concerns and work commitments respectively.

IPL 2018: Hrithik Roshan, Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez to perform at Opening Ceremony

The cricket fever is going to touch it’s all time high as IPL 2018 is just a day away. The action is starting on April 7th, 2018 with a number of Bollywood celebrities setting the stage on fire at the Opening Ceremony. Bollywood buffs are looking forward to this star-studded gala affair. Recently, some changes were made to the list of celebrities performing at the mega event. Here is the complete list of Bollywood celebrities who will grace the IPL 2018 Opening Ceremony on Saturday. Hold your breath!

Bollywood’s heartthrob Ranveer Singh was signed in to perform at the Opening Ceremony, but owing to his injury, he will be giving it a miss. Hrithik Roshan has confirmed his presence at the ceremony, replacing the Padmaavat actor. Talking to HT, he said, “Yes I can officially confirm that I will be performing for the opening ceremony of IPL. I have already started rehearsing for it. It will be fun to perform in front of a live audience once again.”

Apart from Hrithik Roshan, October actor Varun Dhawan will also entertain the audience with his dance moves at the Opening Ceremony. His Judwaa 2 co-star Jacqueline Fernandez will also grace the gala affair.

Parineeti Chopra, who is busy shooting for Namastey England with Arjun Kapoor is also giving the IPL 2018 Opening Ceremony a miss. Owing to her packed schedule, the actress is pulling out of the event.

Her spokesperson told NDTV, “Parineeti Chopra was to perform at this year’s IPL opening ceremony. She was shooting non-stop for Namaste England in Patiala and had back-to-back, pre-committed endorsement commitments. So, unfortunately, she did not have enough time to rehearse in spite of her best efforts.”

The ceremony will take place at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 7.
