Filmmaker Karan Johar is known for being a party animal. From hosting Diwali bash to small get-togethers, he is the best host anyone can ever have. After the starry Diwali party, which was attended by several Bollywood celebrities, KJo decided to enjoy some 'mommy' time. We all know that Karan Johar is mumma's boy and he loves spending time with his mother Hiroo Johar.
Last night, Karan and his mother hosted a dinner party which was attended by some popular mother-daughter duo of Bollywood. Gauri Khan, Zoya Akhtar, Honey Irani, Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan and Kajal Anand were among those invited to the cosy dinner party. Karan also took to Instagram to share an endearing picture from the memorable night. “Mommy dinner! Best times!!!!,'' he captioned the photo. Have a look:
Earlier, pouring his heart out on his dad's death and fear of losing his mother, KJo in a letter to The Hindustan Times wrote, ''Fourteen years have passed since I lost my dad and I am getting vulnerable. I fear losing the only people I am attached to. My mother has been going through health issues and I start breaking at the thought of losing her, which I know is an eventuality we all have to face. I speak to her every four hours and if she doesn’t answer the phone, I start having the worst thoughts. If she wakes up late in the mornings, I worry, and barge into her room. Each time she complains of chest pain, my first question is: is it the left side?''.
On a related note, stars like Varun Dhawan, Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Kareena Kapoor, Kartik Aarya among others marked their presence at the glitzy Diwali bash of Karan. Meanwhile, the filmmaker is busy with his show Koffee With Karan Season 6. He will also be directing a multi-starrer period drama titled Takht. The project has some big names like Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt and Anil Kapoor. Also, his another ambitious project, Kalank, is currently being shot.
