After delivering a terrific performance in his last two films Bareily Ki Barfi and quirky Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Ayushmann Khurrana is back on the screen with Sriram Raghavan's upcoming thriller titled AndhaDhun. For the film, the actor will be seen sharing the screen space with actress Radhika Apte for the first time.
Ayushmann took to his social media on Monday to tease his fans with hints of his next flick. He shared a picture through which he tried to make the fans guess the name of his movie. He wrote, “Guess the title of my next film directed by Sriram Raghavan.” This definitely intrigued the excitement of all the fans as they were waiting for the official announcement to be made.

While the fans kept guessing, Ayushmann shared another video in which the cast and crew of the movie are suggesting names for the film. It was tentatively titled Shoot The Piano Player, but now finally, the makers have zeroed in on an interesting title, Andhadhun.
Oh it's not easy when you have to match up to Sriram Raghavan's string of badass film titles but we all gave it a try! Talking about the idea behind film's title, director Sriram Raghavan told Mumbai Mirror, "We are punning with the title as Ayushmann plays a blind pianist. It goes well with the story too. We had a lot of options in our mind, including Shoot The Piano Player, but the producers weren’t keen on using an English title. I know the real word is ‘Andhadhund’, but the ‘D’ is silent for us".
The director further talked about the movie and said that it is closer to his 2007 drama Johnny Gaddar. One can definitely except some dark humour and an interesting plotline from the movie. Spilling the beans about all the preparations lead actor Ayushmann Khurrana had to do to play a blind pianist, Sriram said, "Ayushmann is a musician himself but he trained rigorously and that worked in our favour as we didn’t have to hire a body double for the finger shots on the piano or even use any kind of VFX. In fact, he plays some fantastic pieces in the film which have been brilliantly composed by Amit".
Other than Ayushmann and Radhika, the movie also features Tabu in an important role. The release date of the movie is expected to be announced soon.
