Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge is now two decades old, but the charm remains unhampered. The film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol is touted to be one of the most successful films Bollywood has ever seen. In the film directed by Aditya Chopra, Shah Rukh Khan played the onscreen son of veteran actor Anupam Kher. Recently, Kher went nostalgic and remembered Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and his onscreen son SRK. He tweeted a GIF which shows Anupam Kher and Shah Rukh Khan hugging each other. He wrote, "मेरे प्यारे @iamsrk !! बस ऐसे ही!! न्यू यॉर्क में तुम्हारी अचानक याद आयी। We have had some great times together. And then we all grew up!! Love and prayers always."
Shah Rukh Khan took notice of this tweet and responded, "Arre nahi Daddy Cool! ‘Grow up’ hon aapke dushman. Hum dono ka dil to baccha hai ji. Come back home let’s start with snakes and ladders and we can move to making sand castles in the air. Miss you."
Anupam Kher promised to meet Shah Rukh Khan soon and showered love on him. His tweet reads, "आते ही मिलता हूँ। बहुत बहुत प्यार।"
Shah Rukh Khan and Anupam Kher worked together in many films including Paheli, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Mohabbatein, Zamaana Deewana among others. In DDLJ Anupam Kher played his father while in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, he essayed the role of SRK's father-in-law.
