30 Years of Ram Lakhan: Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit revisit memories of their iconic family revenge drama

Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, and Jackie Shroff starrer Ram Lakhan release on 27th January thirty years ago and became one of the most iconic films of the Indian film industry. Filmmaker Subhash Ghai in 1989 came up with a revenge family drama, Ram Lakhan, which had a normal story but went on to become a blockbuster for its endearing performances and feet-tapping songs. There is hardly any movie buff who hasn’t seen the classic Bollywood film. As the movie clocks 30 years today, actors Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit revisited the golden days through their interesting social media posts.

Handsome hunk Anil Kapoor took to his Instagram to share a picture of himself in which he is seen doing the iconic Ram Lakhan step and wrote, “#30yearsofRamLakhan & it's been one of my greatest joys to watch Lakhan continue to bring a smile to people's faces, & and a dance in their steps...I'm not one to look back & ponder, but as I move forward to new avenues, I'm grateful for the choices that got me here...#LakhanFTW” !‬” The step became so popular that even today Anil Kapoor is asked to perform it on every occasion.

On the other hand, Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit shared a video with Anil Kapoor performing on the famous track ‘O Ramji’ from the classic film. The actress wrote, “Today marks #30YearsOfRamLakhan and dancing on this song brings back so many beautiful memories. It was fabulous working with the team of #RamLakhan”. Watch the video here-

Ram Lakhan was a 1989 revenge drama which became synonymous to Bromance as Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff’s camaraderie was much praised by the audience. The film chronicles the story of two brothers avenging their father’s death after they come to know that Bhishamber and Bhanu have killed their father.

On the professional front, Anil Kapoor will be next seen in the film Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga along with daughter Sonam Kapoor and talented actor Rajkummar Rao. Madhuri Dixit, on the other hand, is all set to treat her fans with the comedy-drama, Total Dhamaal.
