Bollywood actor Suneil Shetty launched a US-based gym in Pune on Tuesday after launching one in Nagpur last week, says a media report.

Talking about his new business venture, the actor says, "It's called Anytime Fitness and I launched the first gym in Nagpur and one in Pune yesterday. I'm in the core team. When the company approached me, I made it very clear that before I joined, certain conditions would have to be met.

It's one of the biggest groups in USA and is bringing out 40 gyms a month. In India, we plan to bring out 250 gyms in three years. The idea is to have these gyms in densely populated areas within walking distance of each other." The one in Mumbai (Worli) will be launched in the next 45 days."

Sunil said he joined the group because they met his conditions. "The financials are in place and it's very cost-effective. The fees range from various schemes beginning from Rs 399 to 599 and 999 a month. The gym is for senior citizens and children too between the ages of 4-17. It's a complete concept for me and what I say makes a difference.

Sunil says, "I do power training where the burnout is more, as it is without rest. I do light weights and heavy repetitions. I have also been following a high protein diet at night. I have my dinner before 7.30 pm. I eat chicken and fish at night and have carbs like rice and rotis in the afternoon. In the morning, I have a heavy breakfast consisting of eggs, bread, fruits and I snack every two hours."

There are trained nutritionists and dieticians monitoring everything, kitchens for moms to cook in, cooking academy, books, centralised kitchen for giving breakfast, lunch and dinner -- and everything is given at reasonable rates. No gym has done this before. My dream is to have an obesity-free India."

The actor says the biggest USP of the gym is -- TRX training. "The Indian team cricket has access to that. TRX training has two cables and is freehand. It's exercising with your own body weight and is difficult. The good thing a about TRX is that you can carry the cables everywhere when you travel. I am hooked onto TRX tracks and work out regularly for one six days a week at the gym in my building.
