No big female actor in Bollywood is ready to play the role of Jessica Lal, the Delhi model who was shot to death at a late night party involving a politician's son.
Rajkumar Gupta's film, ‘No One Killed Jessica', stars Rani Mukerji and Vidya Balan as a journalist and Sabrina Lal, Jessica's sister, respectively, but no big actress wants to play Jessica.
The problem is, Jessica Lal's role in the flick is comparatively very small, says a media report . Since the director and the producers have no choice, they will have to settle on a newcomer for Jessica.
According to sources, actresses who had been approached for Jessica's role backed off as soon as they found out that Vidya and Rani had the big roles.
Rajkumar Gupta, the director, however says he wants a newcomer to play Jessica so that the audience feels the impact of the crime which will happen only if the girl is a fresher.
