Bollywood Bongshell Bipasha Basu is set to play a role inspired by Sita in Priyadarshan's film Ram Leela. Ajay Devgan is reported to be playing Lord Rama, says a media report
If Priyadarshan goes ahead with the casting, then it will be the first time that Bipasha and Ajay Devgan will come together on screen after All The Best.
While the film is based on Ramayana, Priyadarshan is apparently adding a new angle to it, just as Mani Ratnam tried to give a new dimension to Ramayana in his film Raavan, in which Aishwarya Bachchan plays Sita.
Priyadarshan, according to the report, is keeping things under wraps, but is working on a script which is quite different from that of Mani's Raavan, which focuses largely on the character of Raavan played by Abhishek Bachchan.
No official confirmation has been given by Ajay Devgan, though. If he agrees to work in the film, then he too will have to work hard to make it look distinct because southern actor Vikram will also portray the same character in Mani's film.
Bipasha is happy. Apparently she is on the lookout for “ different” kind of roles, and playing a character inspired by Sita will add another feather to her cap, that's what she thinks.
