Mumbai, Jul 1: Locked up inside Yerwada central jail near Pune, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt  wrote a letter to Maanayata asking her to tell Policegiri producer T P Aggarwal and Rahul Aggarwal to call off the Dubai premiere and organize a charity event in Mumbay to collect donations for Uttarakhand flood victims.

According to Rahul Aggarwal, a lavish Dubai premiere had been planned for Policegiri.

"Sanjay wrote a letter to Maanayata mentioning that we should not spend money on holding the premiere overseas and organise a charity event in Mumbai instead and use the funds collected for flood victims", said Aggarwal.

"Sanjay's suggestion has moved us, and besides the charity show, we wil also donate the producer's share from the collections of the first day first show of the film in Maharashtra", says T P Aggarwal.

Policegiri starring Sanjay Dutt, Prachi Desai and Prakash Raj hits the theatres on July 5.
