Mumbai: VJ-turned-actress Rhea Chakraborty was chased and groped inside the her own building premises in Mumbai. The actress has now filed a molestation complaint against an unknown person inside her building premises.
In her NC complaint filed at Khar police station on Tuesday, Rhea alleged that a well-dressed man groped her inside her building premises, after which she kicked him. The man fled.
Rhea took to social media urging police to take the complaint seriously and nab the culprit.
Police said, Rhea initially did not tell them about the molestation charge.
On behalf of Rhea Chakraborty, her PR consultant issued the following statement: "I would like to thank everyone for their support and encouraging words.
"I have tweeted about this unfortunate incident only to highlight the dismal reality and ask all women to be more aware. "The police are doing their job and I am confident they will get to the bottom of this matter."
