Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar  says he will be a misfit in Hollywood and won't desert his Indian fans. "I am not fit for Hollywood.  I am happy being here (Bollywood). I have a huge audience to entertain.  I do get small and big offers but I say no," the actor told reporters.

Akshay will be playing the role of Marathi manoos Sachin Tichkule in his forthcoming satire 'Khatta Meetha'. Akshay  says that making people laugh is the most difficult task for an actor.

"I feel comfortable playing both action and comic roles.  I can perform anything but comedy is the toughest as it is very difficult to make somebody laugh.  But I enjoy doing something challenging. Khatta Meetha is my best comedy film," said the 42-year-old actor.

Akshay who rocked the box office with hit films like 'Singh Is King', 'Welcome', Hey Babby' and 'Housefull has been paired with Southern star Trisha in the film directed by Priyadarshan. 'Khatta Meetha' is a political satire on the rampant corruption, narrated through the life of a struggling road construction contractor, Sachin Tichkule, played by Akshay.

His character has big dreams of becoming the best road contractor in the region.  However due to his lack of money and inability to bribe officials in the municipal office, Sachin never manages to get any of his bills or contracts passed.  Ultimately he too becomes a corrupt contractor.

The actor said it was always a challenge to work with Priyadarshan who has so far produced 75 films including 68 superhits.  "I have done five films with him, this is the fifth film and not a single day has gone dull," said Akshay.

'Khatta Meetha' a remake of the 1989 hit Malayalam film, 'Vellanakalude Nadu', also directed by Priyadarshan will be released on July 23. PTI
