A Bollywood media report says Aamir Khan is in talks with Gadar director Anil Sharma for a film. Anil had pitched a movie to Aamir Khan Productions.
The actor, too, liked the first draft of the script, and things snowballed from there. Both of them, however, are keeping mum about the film and have apparently entered into a non- disclosure agreement, says the report. Anil and Aamir will now talk about the film only “ when the time is ripe”.
The very prospect of the Lagaan actor coming together with the Gadar director is an interesting pairing in itself. The 2000 release of Lagaan and Gadar had clashed but still, both films had gone on to make history.
Anil had been planning a lot of ambitious projects but nothing materialised. His last film, Apne, which was directed by him, got a poor response at the box office and Anil also got the credit of bringing together the entire Deol family for the project.
But that film was released in 2007 and Anil has since been keeping a low profile, just working on his scripts.
