Stree Vs Paltan and Laila Majnu

At a time when Rajkummar Rao and Shradhha Kapoor’s film is raking in the moolah, Paltan and Laila Majnu have been performing poorly at the box-office.

Registering a fall of over 50 percent, JP Dutta’s war drama Paltan earned only Rs 60 lakh on its first Monday, September 10. After a weak opening and further bad weekend, the film’s total collection has reached only Rs 5.6 crore, as per trade portal BoxOfficeIndia.com.

The Sajid Ali directorial, Laila Majnu, earned Rs 20 lakh yesterday, taking the film’s total collection to Rs 1.75 crore, the portal claimed

As per Taran Adarsh's previous tweet, Stree got a bigger start at the box office than Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se. Reporting the film's early box office trends on Friday, Mr Adarsh tweeted: "Box office can be most unpredictable but that's the beauty of this business... Stree takes a bigger start than the bigger-in-cast Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se. Proves, phir se [yet again], Fridays can be so unpredictable!"

Stree is a horror-comedy directed by Amar Kaushik, the film also features Aparshakti Khurrana, Pankaj Tripathi and Vijay Raaz.
