Actor Shahid Kapoor has spent more than a decade in the Hindi film industry, but according to him picking up the right kind of content is a complicated task. While speaking candidly to a daily, Shahid said that success in the Hindi film industry will belong to those who focus on good content and have the courage to back it.

Imparting knowledge to people associated in the film industry, Shahid said that those willing to put in hard work to create something great out of bad content too will gain success. During the conversation he also said that ‘Safe choices are not always safe’.

Shahid Kapoor added that at times he refused being part of big ticket movies as he wasn’t convinced of the content.

“I have noticed that I have always performed well when I have worked with a credible film-maker. I would love to work with the right minds, and with the right people,”

said Shahid.

The 35-year old actor had in the past admitted that he lost track after his 2009 movie ‘Kaminey’. He made this statement after delivering a powerhouse performance in ‘Udta Punjab’ adding that the youth wants to see something different.

Mentioning about ‘safe choices’, Shahid was a part of movies like ‘R… Rajkumar’ and ‘Phata Poster Nikla Hero’ which did not appeal to the critics. Though, these movies were high on masala content, they were somewhere a let down for Shahid, the actor.

With this conversation, Shahid has hinted that he will work with content rich projects. He will be next seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Rangoon’, which also stars Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut.
