Ram Gopal Varma’s chauvinist comment on International Women’s Day landed him in legal trouble as a Goa-based female activist filed a police complaint against the filmmaker and, also asked for his Twitter account to be blocked.
Now, RGV has threatened a counter FIR.
Pratiksha Kargaonkar, belonging to Women’s branch of Hindu group Hindu Janajagruti, filed a complaint against RGV in Goa.
The complaint states that insulting a woman’s respect is a cognizable offence under the Indecent Representation of Women Act, thus an offence should be registered against the director under Cyber Law for victimisation of Women.

After the complaint, the director gave a piece of his mind to his haters and replied on Twitter again.“Filing counter against OverActivist wid 212 followers which wud b her family n friends, for disrespecting 18 lakh followers of @SunnyLeone”, he tweeted.
In another tweet, he wrote “Only God nd Social media numbers r true judges nd who disagree shud check no, of @SunnyLeone followers with their own numbers b4 they tweet.”
The filmmaker went on to post a series of counter tweets that targeted his trollers.
