Rajendra Gupta to portray PM Narendra Modi's father in biopic, Yatin Karyekar to star in key role

Rajendra  Singh will be seen as PM Modi's father and Karyekar as Lakshman Rao Inamdar in PM Narendra Mpdi biopic, starring Vivek Oberoi.

Rajendra Gupta to portray PM Narendra Modi's father in biopic, Yatin Karyekar to star in key role

After Boman Irani, Manoj Joshii, Zarina Wahab, Barkha Bisht Sengupta and others, Rajendra Gupta and Yatin Karyekar have joined the cast of the upcoming film PM Narendra Modi, featuring Vivek Oberoi as PM Modi.  The biopic is being directed by Omung Kumar and produced by Sandip Ssingh and Suresh Oberoi.

Rajendra  Singh will be seen as Modi's father and Karyekar as Lakshman Rao Inamdar in the film, read a statement. They have already started shooting for the film in Ahmedabad.

The film is being directed by National Award-winner Omung Kumar and produced by Sandip Ssingh and Suresh Oberoi, whose son actor Vivek Anand Oberoi will be playing the title role of Modi. 

"I feel extremely honoured to play the role of role of Mr Narendra Modi's father. This role is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. I was overwhelmed when Sandip Ssingh offered me the role," Rajendra said. 

Yatin also added: "I am extremely happy and proud to be associated with a film of this stature. I can't wait for the film to come out and receive it's due.Shoot of this film has been one of the most memorable ones."

To this, Ssingh said: "We all are very happy and content with the way both the actors have performed in the film."

Meanwhile, Vivek Oberoi has begun shooting for PM Narendra Modi biopic in Gujarat. The Dum actor will essay the role of Modi in the film, which also stars Boman Irani and Darshan Kumaar. The biopic will trace Modi's journey from a tea-seller to assuming the office of the Prime Minister of India.

On playing PM Modi in biopic, Vivek Oberoi in an interview said,  “I am extremely fortunate. Today, I am feeling like I felt 16 years ago, during 'Company' days. I am feeling the same kind of excitement and hunger because this is a role of a lifetime for any actor. I truly believe at the end of the journey, I pray I become better actor and a better human being”.
