Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat is doing wonderful business at the box office. The film featuring actors Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor has recently crossed Rs 100 crore mark. The actors are receiving praises for their spectacular performances in the film. It goes without saying that Padmaavat will set many benchmarks for upcoming films in the coming days, here’s the list of four that have been broken by the film till now.

Padmaavat released on January 25 and minted Rs 19 cr on first day. The movie became the biggest opener of 2018 till now.

Sanjay’s film was unstoppable as it earned Rs 32 crore on its second day and became the highest single day grosser.

The movie released around Republic Day. It left behind Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees and Salman Khan’s Jai Ho when it comes to collection on Januray 26. Padmaavat earned Rs 32 crore.

The movie collected Rs 114 crore in the opening weekend making it Deepika, Ranveer and Shahid’s biggest weekend grosser till now.

After protests and controversies, the film finally released. It was earlier scheduled to clash with Akshay Kumar starrer Pad Man. Bhansali requested Khiladi Kumar to shift the release date of his film which turned out to be in the favour of Deepika starrer. The box office collection of Pdmaavat is expected to rise in coming days.
