The first single of one of the most anticipated films of the year, Mersal starring Vijay will be out today. The song titled Aalaporan Tamizhan has been composed by Oscar winning music director A R Rahman. It is being said that the makers of the film are also planning a grand audio launch of the film on August 20 which will be attended by popular actors like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. However, nothing official has been said on the same.

The announcement of the song’s release was made yesterday on social media. The poster indicates that the track is related to recent Jallikattu protest.

It is also being said that Rahman will perform live at the audio launch event. If this report turns out to be true then it is surely going to be a great treat for all his fans.

Director Atlee is working for the second time with actor Vijay in Mersal. They have earlier worked in Theri that turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office. Mersal is said to be one of the costliest films of Vijay’s career. The actor will be seen in a triple role in the film.

The posters of the flick look promising. Along with Vijay, the movie also features Kajal Aggarwal and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in crucial roles. The project is bankrolled by Sri Thenandal Studios.
