Manikarnika Box Office Collection: Kangana Ranaut’s film crosses Rs 100 crore on fourth Sunday

Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika becomes second film of 2019 to cross 100 crore mark after Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri.

Manikarnika Box Office Collection: Kangana Ranaut’s film crosses Rs 100 crore on fourth Sunday

It’s Rs 100 crore and counting for Kangana Ranaut starrer and directorial film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Despite tough competition at the box office from films such as Uri: The Surgical Strike and Gully Boy, the period drama is still continuing to create magic at the box office.

On its success, Kangana's Ranaut says " Commercial success makes my first directorial even more special, Manikarnika has been loved by people and it has done justice to the legacy of Laxmi Bai, that is a lot more gratifying for me. "

Furthemore, Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli Chadel took to Twitter to share the happy news. 

Manikarnika The Queen Of Jhansi was released across 3,000 screens in India and 700 screens overseas. It was released in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil languages.

Manikarnika, which was previously directed by Krish, was redirected by Kangana Ranaut with a comparatively newer cast. The movie also features Ankita Lokhande, Mishti Chakraborty, Richard Keep, Jisshu Sengupta, Danny Denzongpa, Suresh Oberoi, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayub, Atul Kulkarni among others.

Manikarnika released with Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Thackeray. The movie, a biopic on Shiv Sena head Bal Thackeray, which also underwent a lot of controversy before release, doomed at the box-office.

Kangana Ranaut will be seen next in Mental Hai Kya opposite Rajkummar Rao. She will also feature in Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's Panga.
