Akshay Kumar thanks GST Council for tax exemption on sanitary napkins
National Award winning Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, whose film "Pad Man" tried to create awareness on menstrual hygiene, has thanked the GST Council for making sanitary napkins Goods and Services Tax (GST) free.
Expressing his happiness, Akshay tweeted on Saturday: "One of those days when a news brings tears of joy as a cause close to your heart gets fulfilled. Thank you, #GSTCouncil, for understanding the need for menstrual hygiene & exempting sanitary pads from tax. I'm sure crores of women in our country are silently sending gratitude your way."
Houseful 4: First shooting schedule of Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon starrer wraps up
Much awaited Bollywood comedy Houseful 4 has wrapped up its first shooting schedule which was in London. The movie has created quite a buzz because this is the first time that Kriti Sanon will be romancing khiladi Akshay Kumar on the big screen.
Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, which is producing the movie, made the announcement on Twitter. They wrote, "Now that's a spectacular wrap of the 1st schedule! #Housefull of Madness and Fun ?? Popular television actor Sidharth Shukla's car lost its control and rammed into the divider, leaving three injured. The accident happened near Oshiwara on Saturday evening. His car hit three other cars before crashing into the divider. Onlookers took Sidharth out of his BMW X5. FIR has been lodged against the actor.
Lokhandwala Oshiwara Citizen’s Association founder, Dhaval Shah told indianexpress.com, ''It was quite a major accident. Sidharth was driving from Mega Mall and lost control on the way. He hit a pole and the collided with close to five cars. Since the actor was driving a luxury car, he wasn’t affected much. But the people in the other cars were injured. He apparently did not look drunk but only further investigations can prove the same''.

Richa opened up about her role and the meeting with Shakeela to Bombay Times and said, "Even I am socially awkward but I am comfortable on camera, which is why people feel that I am bold. That's out alternate personality I guess." Richa said this referring to Shakeela who revealed that she is very shy as a person but not as an actor.
