Actress Kangana Ranaut has supported young star Zaira Wasim and lashed out at people for trolling her. The Dangal actress was allegedly molested on a Delhi-Mumbai flight on Saturday night and she later talked about her experience on Instagram via a live video. Kangana stated that people should stop passing judgements on Zaira.

The actor said she was on a flight from Delhi to Mumbai when a co-passenger sitting behind her put up his feet on her armrest.

Wasim has been criticised for the timing of her reaction- she shared about the alleged incident after landing - with many questioning her for not reacting strongly in the flight itself, while others terming it a publicity stunt.

Condemning the criticism and lauding the actor, Ranaut said it is brave of her to share her story despite being advised against.

"The actor, who has spoken about this harassment that she faced in a flight, look at the backlash she is getting. It is so upsetting," Kangana said.

The actor was speaking at the launch of author ShobhaDe's new book, "70 and to hell with it", here last night. She was in conversation with De along with journalist Barkha Dutt.

"A young girl, a 16-year-old, when she decides to step up and say that she has been harassed, there are so many things like your own parents, people who wish you well and your management companies, they tend to tell you, 'Don't associate yourself with something dark.

"Now, I am not in that position so, I don't know what kind of harassment it was. But everyone agrees on one thing that the foot was on her arm-rest. This is wrong. It is very wrong. Why are we judging her, trolling her? In this kind of environment, which is so frightening, who will speak up?" Ranaut said.

The "Simran" actor said if it were she in place of the actor, she would have broken the man's leg.

"Most people are saying that he was just keeping his foot on the armrest, taking an innocent nap. For me, it is highly offensive. I would have broken his leg," she said.

"So, I think it (the intention of the man) is arguable. I am not dissecting or jumping to the conclusion and no one should judge whether it is me or media or social media," she added.
