Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha starrer Kalank has left everyone in the country excited especially after the release of the first look of the actors. The film is already the most-awaited film of the year and brings together all the top-rated actors together under one roof. The multi-starrer period drama set in the 1940s is helmed by Abhishek Varman who is known for his hit film 2 States.

Before the teaser launched, the makers as well as the actors of the film gave a sneak peek into their characters in the film and introduced them to the audience in the most creative way. While Alia Bhatt plays the role of Roop, Varun Dhawan will be seen as Zafar. Aditya Roy Kapur will be known as Dev, Sonakshi Sinha as Satya, Madhuri Dixit as Bahaar Begum and Sanjay Dutt as Bajraj Chaudhary. The first look posters have already made it difficult for the fans to wait for the flick and now, the makers have also released the teaser of Kalank.

The two-minute-long teaser is bound to hook you till the last minute as it takes you into the lives of six different characters and shows how tightly they all are interconnected. From the power-packed dialogues to the picturization, everything in the teaser looks larger than life and it ends on a high note as Alia Bhatt sets to marry Aditya Roy Kapur with tears in her eyes.

Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhattwill be see together for the fourth time on the big screen with Kalank. Infact, the film will also mark the reunion of Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt after 21 years. Earlier, Bahaar Begum was supposed to eb played by late Bollywood diva Sridevi. Post her sudden death, the role was offered to the dancing queen Madhuri Dixit. Talking about the same, the actress told Mid-Day in an interview, “I don’t want to let her down. Bahaar Begum is poles apart from Chandramukhi or anything I have done before. It was a challenge to play her with grace and heart.”

The starcast of Kalank was evidently very excited for the teaser launch of the film, Varun Dhawan flew back from UK where he was shooting for his next film Street Dancer to be present at the teaser launch. The actors looked heavenly at the event and made a blockbuster entry. While Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt opted to win hearts in white, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur looked ethereal in red. On the other hand, Madhuri Dixit chose to turn heads in a black floral saree and Sanjay Dutt in black bandhgala.
