Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is all set to don the role of a cop in Rohit Shetty’s cop-drama which will also star Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Ali Khan opposite him. Earlier, Karan Johar, who is bankrolling the film, had given us a glimpse and had introduced us to the calm before the storm.

'Simmba' director Rohit Shetty has an emotional note for kid brother Ranveer Singh who's all set to marry Meenamma Deepika Padukone

And it gets only more interesting because KJo has unveiled another video, reminding us of the trailer date but it is much more than a promotional gig. He has actually let us in on the bond shared by Ranveer and Rohit and it left us teary. Well, almost. He shared a video on his Instagram page with the actor making a speech on the last day of shoot. He captioned it as, "The amazing chemistry of director and actor! The love and the energy of ROHIT SHETTY AND RANVEER SINGH!!!!"

In Simmba, Ranveer Singh plays a cop while Sara stars as his love interest. In the several other BTS videos and pictures, we have got a clear view of the high-octane action and drama to expect from the Rohit Shetty-directed film. Simmba went on floors in Hyderabad some months ago and after completing a few portions of the film, the team went to Switzerland to shoot further for the film.

Simmba will be Sara's second film of this year. She debuts in the film industry with Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath, the teaser of which hit online on Tuesday. Kedarnath releases on December 7 while Simmba is expected to hit the screens on December 28.

Simmba is the remake of Telugu film Temper. The film has been produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.
