Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan, who is making huge headlines for his look in Kalank, has confirmed that he will be starring in the remake of the 1995 hit comedy Coolie No. 1 which originally Govinda and Karisma Kapoor. The film was directed by Varun's father David Dhawan. Varun has also confirmed that the remake version of the film will be directed by David Dhawan himself.
In a recent interview with BBC, Varun dropped the veil that the remake is very much happening and will be helmed by DD (as he fondly calls him dad) himself. When probed that the deed is done he exclaimed, "As I said it, I was like "should I say it?" But I think it's come out so many places that yeah. However, that's not the best part!
When being asked about who will be the leading lady in the film, Varun chose to remain silent and not to reveal further details about the actress. The Badlapur actor was once again asked regarding who will be his leading lady in the remake version and he was given a choice between Alia Bhatt and Sara Ali Khan. Varun replied right away that he won't be doing any more films with Alia Bhatt for some time as both of them have done a lot of films together which has made people take their chemistry for granted. However, Varun did not say much about Sara Ali Khan and denied about Alia being in the film. This gives a slight indication that Sara Ali Khan might be roped in for the remake of Coolie No. 1.
Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan as Zafar for Kalank has been creating much buzz everywhere.
Last, she was seen in Simmba which has crossed Rs 200 crore mark at the box office. The actress is being praised by the audience not only for her acting but also her sense of humour and wit in the promotional interviews.
